Iskcon built a beautiful marble temple in Ujjain to glorify Lord Krsna and Lord Balaram, who came here 5000 yrs ago to study under the tutelage of Sandipan Muni. The devotees under the guidance of HH Bhakti Charu Swami preached relentlessly, resulting in Ujjain being recognised worldwide as a place of spiritual nourishment and sustenance.

It was a moment of great honour and delight that Honourable Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Chouhan with his coterie of ministers and BJP State President Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma came to Iskcon Ujjain on 22nd June 2022 and were given warm welcome with ceremonial dance and kirtan by the devotees. Enthused by the devotees, The Chief minister regaled the congregation by chanting “Hare Krsna Mahamantra” and danced with devotees in great ecstasy. With all his heart and devotion, he offered aarti and garland to the founder acharya Srila Prabhupad and took divine blessings of Sri Sri Narsmihadev. The dignitaries were felicitated  with shawl and presented sriphal, bhagavadgita, Ramayan, Ocean of mercy (written by HH Bhakti Charu Swami) and a coin which was issued by the Prime Minister Narender Modi in the memory of founder Acharya Srila Prabhupad on his 125th anniversary.

With utmost humility, whilst the devotees of Ujjain expressed heartfelt gratitude, head of ISKCON india – HH Gopal Krsna Maharaj and Secretary HG Basu Ghosh pr conveyed via letter, thanking Chief Minister – Sh. Shivraj Chouhan profusely for resolving land issue involving ISKCON Ujjain. In all reciprocation, the Chief Minister was equally very humble, crediting the designs of Lord Krishna for the outcome and that he was a mere tool in the hands of Lord. The devotees of Ujjain assured the minister that devotees will use the land only for disseminating Krsna Bhakti and Indian ethos around the world, thus giving credence to the Vedic culture.
